What is the Silhouette Soft Lift
Over time, the skin on the face and neck starts to sag, typically as a result of the ageing process and sun damage, although some younger patients may see accelerated skin laxity due to genetics. The fatty tissue, bone and muscle structure also reabsorbs, meaning there’s less structural support and the youthful triangle of the face becomes inverted.
The Silhouette Soft Lift is a minimally invasive, very safe, and highly effective solution to this change in the facial tissues. It delivers an instant lift while at the same time boosting your natural collagen production to achieve a sustained tissue regeneration. Results should last up to 24 months.
Is Silhouette Soft safe?
The Silhouette Soft Lift uses sutures made from PLLA and PLGA (Poly L Lactic Acid & Poly Lactic-co-Glycolic Acid). These biocompatible components have been used in medicine for decades and are safely reabsorbed by the body.
What areas can be treated?
The number of threads used depends on the degree of ageing and area being treated. Areas that can be lifted include the eyebrow, mid-face and cheek, jawline and neck. Silhouette Soft can also be combined with other aesthetic treatments that we offer at Dr CP Aesthetics including injectables and skin rejuvenation procedures for optimal results.
How does the the Silhouette Soft Lift work?
Threads with patented bi-directional cone technology are inserted just beneath the skin using a needle so there are no incisions. Local anaesthetic is used to numb the entry and exit points. Usually, two to four threads are placed on either side and then sutures are pulled back to lift and smooth sagging skin for an instant lift.
Over the following months, collagen production is stimulated so you’ll see a further gradual improvement for a natural rejuvenation.
Are there any side effects to the Silhouette Soft Lift?
Silhouette Soft works by inserting threads into the dermis, so there is typically a mild inflammatory reaction post-procedure. There may be a small degree of discomfort, swelling and bruising but this should quickly subside. There may also be a sensation of tightness for a few days following treatment, but most patients return to work within two to three days.
Aftercare
An ice pack applied after treatment can speed up recovery and it’s advised that you sleep with your head elevated for the first few nights. Make-up should not be worn for the first 24 hours.
